UNIFIED PROTOCOL FOR ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION

This treatment package is the inspiration for Therapy Lab. We offer the latest in research-based psychotherapy for emotional well-being--The Unified Protocol for the Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders--from the genius Barlow lab (Boston University). This package provides support for those experiencing emotional distress (such as depressed feelings, anxiety or panic, or loss of pleasure). The UP integrates "the best of" CBT, DBT, and mindfulness-based techniques and includes highly effective behavioral exposures—aka the fun part!

MAKE A DECISION/SOLVE A PROBLEM

If you have an important decision to make—do I take that job, have that kid, adopt a rescue, apply to law school, move to Portland?—you may find a double-hit of sessions helps to clarify the situation and prepare you for the choice. We’ll use cognitive psychology principles to enlighten and guide the process for you.

VIRTUAL REALITY TREATMENT FOR FEAR OF PLANES, ELEVATORS, & PUBLIC SPEAKING

Does your life feel limited by a fear of flying, public-speaking, or elevators? We deliver the latest science with virtual reality (from Virtually Better, Inc.) to enhance exposure-based treatment for phobias.

If you’ve tried other packages at Therapy Lab and want to come back for additional sessions, try a Booster or several. Or use this option if you’d like to experience working with different therapists in preparation for a bigger Therapy Lab adventure.

If you haven’t heard about mindfulness and the health benefits, you may be living under a rock. While you can download terrific apps to help you get started with mindfulness and a meditation practice, our package allows you to have a customized, individualized experience to cultivate mindfulness in a way that fits your lifestyle.

MONTHLY CHECK-IN SESSIONS

Use these sessions to check in with your therapist on a monthly, rather than the traditional weekly, basis. Perhaps you travel often or feel just too damn busy for a weekly routine. These monthly check-ins will help you attune to your emotional side and provide you with the opportunity to steer yourself into better self-care and balance before emotions spiral!
